What is a good deal on a 12' Porta-bote?

We have a 2016 12' Porta-bote that we were going to use as a dinghy on our PSC34 but decided to go with a Portland Pudgy instead (fits flipped over on foredeck a bit nicer).

I was going to toss it on Craigslist but there are none in our area to price against. It is just gathering dust so was wondering what would get it sold in a few days?

Their price has gone up considerably and that new folding transom sucks.

Does it have the famous transom bladder leak?

A lot of folks use these as lake boats so somewhat depending upon demand in your area.

If you want it gone quick $600?

List it on here where cruisers will see it, and let us know where it is located. Interested.

No transom leak or any leak. They seem to be the same price as a Pudgy new. I know ppl on here diss the Pudgy but we love her.

We are in eastern Washington state, but travel to the Puget Sound often to visit our PSC34.

$600 sounds awfully cheap for a 12' portabote in good condition.

I've done a bit more research and discovered they don't sell for that much compared to the insane new price. We paid $2200 and I think the 12' is $2899 now.

I have found a few within 400 miles of me in the range of $1200 to $2500 but the $2500 one came with a newish outboard and a trailer (why you need a trailer on a foldable boat is another matter).

I'd probably be happy with getting $1000 if I can. For $2899 I would buy a Portland Pudgy.

All depends on demand in your area and how fast “quick” is.
