Having had some experience in the matter I would suggest all chain (150' of bbb) always secured with a rope bridal. Three strand nylon gives enough to soften any ride. The bridal should be the length of your bow's freeboard so the catanary is reduced enough to increase your holding power by a considerable percentage.
