We went from 65m of 1/2” to higher grade 90m of 3/8”. Same strength, same weight, less volume in the anchor locker. In the South Pacific and particularly SE Asia we consider anchoring in anything less than 20m water depth as shallow and 30m is common.

One benefit of all chain rode is a smaller swing circle.
