And there you go.

So unless it has some "miraculous" holding tricks up its sleeve ........

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the ultra as an anchor, if they made a galv version I'd probably consider one if it was comparable in price to the competition.

Re: Any Ultra Review Updates?

We've had the Ultra for a year now, and we're quite pleased. We bought oversized, so there's that to consider, but we've been very happy with it. It's grabbed the first time, every time.

It comes up quite clean, except the inside part, where the mud sometimes gets caught on the shank. Perhaps the mud on the inside is compressed into the anchor, whatever the reason, the shank is nearly always clean, and the back side of the anchor is also nearly always clean, but the business end may have mud on it.

That's ok, I bought it to hold the boat, not to self clean.

If I had to buy one the size Simi 60 needs; Cost would be a serious issue.

Cost is always a consideration, but I'm happy with the 60kg Ultra we bought, and would buy it again. I think that's always the best review anyone could ask for: "I'd buy it again".

Cheers.
Paul.
