Where the savings can come in with Hitest is using a smaller size. I compared 3/8" BBB to 5/16" G4 hi test. The G4 was cheaper, lighter and stronger than the BBB. Also the 5/16" hitest links were the same length as the 3/8" BBB and fit my gypsy perfectly.

Are you sure on the 3/8 and 5/16 HT link length.
The 5/16 links I had a sample of seemed shorter than my 3/8 BBB They did seem to fit my Gypsy at least a 1/4 of the way around. (this should be all I need as it is a lofrans tigress horizontal) But the links were defiantly shorter. I would love to switch over to a longer length of 5/16/ G4
