Cheapest Place to Dry Dock in Europe?

Hello! We currently have our 2 boats stored in Genoa, Italy, but I am looking for more economical options. I've heard that Malta has decent rates? Our boats are 8.75m and 11.85m and we are paying about 1,375 Euros a month. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Re: Cheapest place to Dry Dock in Europe?

I presume you mean hard standing as opposed to needing a "dry dock"

There are possibilities if you leave the Med: http://www.billie-marine.com/image/d...a-sec11-12.pdf

That is a great help! Thank you very much, Alain! We are insured throughout European waterways so pretty flexible in location (as long as the relocation fees do not outweigh the storage savings!)

Re: Cheapest place to Dry Dock in Europe?

On the Atlantic coast of France, there are many boatyards that could store your boats for cheaper than in the Med. Just google "hivernage" "bateaux" in French language. Of course, you will need to understand French!

You should hurry to book your places, for not many will be left by end of September.

By the way, Billie Marine is the boatyard where I put Hydra on the hard for a few days each year. They have some covered storage area but not much.
