shaped like a sort of snowplow... designed to dig deep fast and be hard to pull in one direction. Pull up ovr it and haul straight up and it should pop right out.

Of course it assumes the thing lands on the bottom upright.

They work well enough that someone started selling them.

It is an unusual anchor.

I have only seen one. I spoke to the owner who was quite enthusiastic about the performance.

It has a very elaborate mechanism that is designed to help the anchor rotate to a wind shift and help free the anchor if it becomes stuck. To much to go wrong in my view.

Underwater I see enough problems with the simple rock slot.

Here is the anchor I saw. Perhaps there are some ideas here that could be incorporated into more modern designs, or maybe not
