Edgartown Anchorage

Is it possible to anchor overnight off Edgartown MA? Does the town restrict it?

Re: Edgartown Anchorage

As long as you anchor clear of the mooring fields and off the channel you are fine.

Re: Edgartown Anchorage

A couple of additional comments. From the anchorage it's a bit of a dinghy ride to town but there is a launch service, $5/person. The anchorage is completely open to winds N to NE and can get choppy.

The moorings are good, close to town and if I recall not expensive. We live here so haven't used one in a while but I understand you now need to reserve a mooring on Dockwa.

Re: Edgartown Anchorage

You can anchor off Chappie, no issues. It's quite a ride in, I only have a row boat so I opted for launch service (Old Port launch). Was $10/head each way as I recall so plan trips wisely.
