Having chain and anchor galvanized

My 3/8" HT chain and 60# plow are in desperate need of galvanizing. Has anyone had this done in the States, and how did it work out? At $10/ft for chain, I think I should be able to get it done for less than $2000.00. I found a couple of places in NJ and Ct, and will call them next week. Just wondering if there is anything I should be asking or be concerned about. I do know I need to ask if the chain is tumbled after being galvanized so that I don't just get a big lump of zinc returned to me.

Re: Having chain and anchor galvanized

Hey man, what I was thinking was checking a west Marine catalogue on a Sunday of a holiday weekend and using their price for a benchmark. Obviously if I have to purchase new chain, there would be a lot of research on pricing. I just needed some experiences, not challanges.

Best place for galvanizing is just north of Richmond, VA. it's by the pound, no not foot and the minimum is about 250lbs or so
They do have a shaker basket and do very good work

Recently got mine done for about 55c a lb. Around $500 for 300' of 1/2".

I had 200 ft of 3/8 HT done is Seattle for just over $300, as far as I'm concerned chain looks better than new.
