How Thick Should An Anchor Snubber Be?

Im back again with another question for your input

My boat a Grand Banks Motor Yacht is a 42. Weighs 23 tons fully loaded. i have a Rocna 40KG on 10mm G70 chain 100 metres long. i am usin a 22mm nylon bridle in a vee shape from the port and std bow cleats. i anchor in winds up to 35knots on occasions and my snubber is approx 15 metres total length.
please give me your thoughts on my set up along with advice on length and thickness of snubber i should be using.

all input gratefully received

Re: how thick should an anchor snubber be?

Here's a short video showing our custom super snubber in use during a period of 35 knot wind off Sardegna. Look closely and you'll see that it's two heavy lines run back to cleats with jumbo rubber dock shocks to absorb the tugging. Gripping onto the chain is an oversized Ultra Anchor claw. Chafe guards are used at the bow roller.

Re: How Thick Should An Anchor Snubber Be?

There are several threads on the forum specifically on snubbers. Long ones with lots of good info. Many different opinions. You should do the search on here for them and come back with some specific questions if you have any. The posts are great.
