Re: how to set the hook, no engine?

We use your method (2) all the time (well, motoring...) to drop our stern anchor, estarzinger. It works well and keeps us from having to row out a 100lb+ anchor (as our anchors are all around that weight except for our Fortress that we keep for emergency).
