Re: Interesting anchor

To dig in to the surface and back the plough out of the mud as the arm rotates past vertical?

Re: Interesting anchor

One of most ridiculas anchor designs ever, invented in Australia approx 17 years ago, the spring loaded trip release opperated with a internal shank cable was so problamatic it used to release the shank into a reaward retieval position when the anchor was droped.

Some jurno tetsted it and found three out off ten drops the trip released the shank never to reset, they were literaly thrown out of dealers every whare as they were deemed to be extremely dangerous.

Re: Interesting anchor

This proves that you can invent a new anchor design and there is someone going to buy it, no matter how ridiculous it is.

I believe new anchor designs are sometimes successful because there is always a customer base that has trouble anchoring, regardless of their anchor...so they always looking for something to overcome their ability issues.

Re: Interesting Anchor

Problem with this design it was heavily marketed prior to release as an anchor that had been in the think tank for five years,( brilliant design) the guy that invented it had been presented with an award for it's design even before it was released. Because of the interest they created through meadia, when it was found rarley to work it and the company dissapeard over night with many dealers making trips to the scrap metal yard.

Re: Interesting Anchor

I suspect "Easy Free" pretty much says it all. And not in a good way.

Re: Interesting Anchor

No anchors with moving parts for me. Unless, it had a worm screw that would dig straight down, and back out when need be.
