Lewmar V4 Windlass Maintenance

My 4 year old Lewmar V4 Windlass (gypsy & drum) no longer free-falls when I release the manual brake with a winch handle as it should. I'm guessing it needs some re-greasing. Does anyone have any tips or service/maintenance instructions as I've not been able to find anything online.

I don't mind taking it apart but I'm not sure even where to start - any/all help appreciated.
