Maggi metric chain non-standardized inconsistent sizing

Warning: if you are about to buy Maggi metric chain it MAY NOT work with your metric gypsy.

We recently purchased Maggi Aqua 4 P30 chain.The chain jams badly when lowering the anchor.

Maggi is vague about what standard this chain should comply to and only states "calibrated for metric windlasses, 10mm Metric Pitch 30.

This chain doesn't seem to meet any industry chain standards, DIN 766(P28) ISO 4565(P30) nor EN 818-3(P30). Its closest to the EN 818-3 standard recommended for our windlass.

Unfortunately we later discovered the chain gauge and height are too big and outside the standard's manufacturing tolerances? We made careful measurements across several different samples.

We supplied these measurement's to Maggi for comment but didn't get a specific reply, just a Teflon fob off..

The measurements for Maggi 10mm Pitch 30 Aqua 7 are different again but would meet the EN 818-3 standard.
