However, your coming out with a torch, nude, will show them what's under the clothing they usually see. Maybe for one, that might be "fun". ;-)

Turtles will also run into the boat while trying to feed.

Cookie cutter sharks will take bites out of towed dinghies.

Sigh.

It would also ensure nobody anchored too close to me. Well, more than once anyway.

I spent a fair bit of time with my boat on anchor in NZ many years ago - after one mishap i settled on an anchor train with 2 danforths, after which the boat never moved again. If using all chain a Bahamian rig would probably work better. Either would be more effective than lugging a mushroom mooring.
