old chain

Hi i have 250feet of galvanized BBB 5/16" chain that I bought new in 2005. I anchor a lot, and the chain has gotten rusty.

Any ideas on if this can be fixed.

Would wire brushing and spraying with galvanizing spray do anything for me?
Should i have it re-galvanized professionally?
Should i just buy new one.

Re: old chain

Re-galvanizing is about all you can do to give it more life. If that is worth it depends a lot on how close you are to someone who will do the small job. Sometimes helps if you can get other cruisers to go together and do multiple chains at the same time to get to the galvanizers minimums.
