One rusty link

I have 90m of almost perfect 12mm galvanised chain. This year I notice I have one really rusty link. It is annoying. Any practical suggestions?

Re: One rusty link

Get one of the s/s joiner links. Cut out rusty link, replace with joiner. Make sure you peen the spikes over really well. Inspect joiner each time you use the chain. We did have one fail, one time, but used chain with two joiners for years, due to having had to cut the chain when it got trapped by rocks, or, in one case, a submerged tree.
