Quick Antares manual operation

Am I missing something obvious or the Quick Antares windlass can't be operated manually to raise the anchor?
My Quick Antares windlass has only one slot on top that allows to insert winch handle to remove the drum. I
know that some Antares models have another slot off center where you can insert a winch handle and turn the gypsy.
Mine has only the central hole.
If the drum is removed, I don't see any option to turn the gypsy manually.
So what is the truth? The gypsy can or cannot be operated manually?

You need the off-center slot. I tried it when our gearbox jammed and it was impossible to lift the 29.5 kg anchor and 10mm chain (55m on the seabed). In the end, we had to use the spinnaker line and a lot of manual effort.

I know that the off-centre slot allows manual work.
What I have tried to understand is, if there is an option to work manually on the single centre slot.
Apparently there is not.
Very stupid windlass...Lagoon saved a few bucks and put the buyers in awkward situation.
I am going to replace the windlass head.
