Quick Prince Windlass

Hi all.
Considering the purchase of a windlass for my Compass 29.
Obviously doesn't need to be amazingly powerful, however I want something that is reliable and carrying low-maintenance.
Does any one have feedback on Quick Prince windlasses?
There appears to be very few reviews on the web.
Any info greatly appreciated.

Re: Quick Prince Windlass

With its motor and gearbox installed inside your anchor locker, a vertical windlass, like the Quick ‘Prince’, takes up less deck space, than a horizontal model [but more locker space*].

A horizontal model is easier to install and maintain, and is less prone to snags and hang-ups, than a vertical windlass.

* Make certain that you have enough locker depth, achieve minimum fall of 12" - 18 inches above the rode pile, to have enough gravity, to pull the rode down into the locker.
