Quick Rider windlass repair question

Quick Rider windlass repair questions

1 Does anyone know the difficulty of installing the shaft with bearing, circlips, oil seal and washer into the rider base? Can the bearing be pushed in with light tapping or will I need some sort of press? Other issues?

2 Has anyone ever repaired one of the chain stripper holes in the base with a helicoil? How did that work out? Other method of field repair for a corroded and stripped hole?

Thanks
