Roll bar anchors and Island Packet

Anyone have an IP with one of the new gen anchors?
Specifically I'm trying to find out if a Manson Supreme will fit on my IP38

I did a little research after you PM'd me. Here's a photo of a Rocna 25 on an IP 35. I found it on Hayden Cochran's Island Packet Yacht Owners Association website. In fact, it's Hayden's boat.

How the bail on the anchor roller interacts with the "roll bar" on the anchor is the deciding factor on how well the new-gen anchors will fit. Looks like a pretty good fit to me, with plenty of room, but it would depend on how similar your anchor roller setup is to the IP35's.

I guess you missed my answer in the oversized anchor thread...

Anyway, we have a 60# Manson Supreme on Pau Hana (IP38-087). It's mated with 220' of 3/8" G4 chain and fits nicely on the stb. factory roller. The "roll bar" on the 60 just fits under the lower rail (in fact I sometimes tie it off there with a bit of line when underway as extra insurance).

I'm aware of the IPYOA, but am not active over there,
My roller has a nearly useless pin, I say useless as we were in pretty good wx, taking green water over the bow and this pin came out, followed rather quickly by the anchor. So I go to go forward and secure the anchor in heavy waves, since then I ziptie the pin so it's can't fall out. May replace this pin with a fabbed bail, if I can't find a large SS shackle that would fit.

I did miss that, 60 lbs? I thought 45 was one size oversize.
Anyway the rail is exactly my concern, good to know the 60 fits, if it does, surely the 45 will. I'll PM my email if you wouldn't mind some pictures.
