Windlass Gypsy Wildcat Needed for ABI

I have an ABI 1000 series manual windlass that has a gypsy designed for Proof Coil 3/8" chain.

The trouble is I have 3/8" BBB chain and the proof coil gypsy does not work with it. The other trouble is that the old ABI company is out of business and as far as I know there is no company around that picked up their parts.

Does anyone here know where I can find a 3/8" BBB gypsy wildcat for my ABI? Stock number would be 1012BR or 1012CH. It would be the same wildcat as for 5/16 PC or 3/8 High Tensile.

Contact CPlath about parts. I had a similar issue with an ABI windlass. ABI copied CPlath's windlass design and I was told by their rep [Ron] that the parts will cross over .

Their bronze gypsy to fit my ABI 1000 series windlass is $295 and will require some modification from their design to the ABI. I might be able to get something for a trade if I give them my gypsy.
I may just buy another windlass (used) at that price.

Don't know how much chain you have, or want, or what condition it is in but you might consider changing chain to 3/8 proof or high test?

Yes, thanks. I've considered changing chain but buying chain here in Hawaii is very costly due to its weight and shipping costs. I currently have 280 feet of BBB 3/8" in nearly new condition. If I went to proof coil at WM $4.25 a foot it would be over $1200 with shipping and tax. So, I'm looking for the economical way out.
