When your shackles arrive it will be interesting to know which fits the chain and the slot in the shank. Some shackles fit the chain but have too narrow an opening to fit onto the anchor (and vice versa)

I agree with everything Noelex has posted, follow that advise and you can sleep peacefully!

And you could use Noelex, other, suggestion (on a separate thread) and drill a small hole in the pin to allow you to mouse - even if you cut most of the head of the pin off. If you think you cannot get enough mousing wire through the hole - Loctite as well! For an anchor - belt and braces seems the way to go.

I assume you are using nylon snubbers of a decent length (not just a conventional, but too short, multi bridle).

I think it is a good policy to have all the joints in the system rated at the not lower working load as a chain is.
Generally we are specifying the chain accordingly to the desired working load, so it should be the indication for all other components
