Re: Ahoy, Globalstar Spot Users Worldwide

A new option from the Yachtmarine's pages makes full use of the SpotWalla potential, following vessels tracks across the oceans.

I have created an easy listing of all SPOT based trips hosted on our pages.
Have a look: MENU-1

You can also download the full track details from each trip for use in OpenCPN as well as Fugawi ENC Marine and others.

Using SpotWalla's 'Associated URL' option in the left box takes you to a menu with many extra features, including a web based Picasa photo & video album as well as an AIS display of the track area.

You don't HAVE to register with SpotWalla to see the pages but more facilities will be available to you if you do. There is no charge.

Any registered SPOT users may send their ESN number as well as the public page code to me for inclusion in our database and automatic monitoring of your trips.

Re: Ahoy, Globalstar Spot Users Worldwide

I have expanded the SpotWalla Trip menu to now also include 'browsing' of each vessel's track record. You will however, have to register/log in to use that particular feature. A bonus is that once you are on the browse page, you can also download the track in .gpx - .kml or .csv format.

There is only ONE track record per vessel and NOT per trip,so the same vessel will accumulate new records continuously in date order.

The release,or automatic update of SpotWalla will be on the 2nd January 2012 and will have several useful new features.
