Atlantic crossing East to West in early May

Hi

What do you Guys think of a Atlantic crossing East to West in early May in an 44' Catamaran.

Leaving Turks and Caicos to Azores and then to Gibralta around the 5. May?

Best regards and merry x-mas
Marco

Apart from the fact that TCI to Gibraltar is West to East and leaving in early May will not get you to Gib around 5 May, the route is ok-ish but be prepared to do a bit of motoring in the middle. It would be better to route yourself via Bermuda to get a bit of prevailing wind for the run across to the Azores.

Ops, that was a bad tipping mistake i agree :-), sorry.
Thx for the answer because my major question is if it is to early for a west east crossing in early May.

And that one you answered, great, i do need to buy these books now.

Best regards
Lagoon

West to east?

Hi Marco, we are a bunch of sailors leaving Plymouth on May 25th going East to West to Newport... in the Ostar. You should be fine going the other way, meet half way?
You can read about our preparations on www.jamorph.com
