B&G Vulcan - Route management

Come to the end of first season with a Vulcan 7,

BUT, I can't for the life of me get to grips with Routing.

Does the first leg of coloured lines showing the route disappear when you start Navigating that route ?

Also how do I get the Dashboard to show the Bearing of the route leg you are on ?

Help please.

Re: B&G Vulcan - Route management

I hate the routing on my Zeus2, so I'm not surprised yours is any better. I use the iPad with Garmin now for drawing a route.

Sorry I can't help.

Re: B&G Vulcan - Route management

Hi Statue,
I have a B and G 9"display at the helm, not as fancy as the Vulcan but works on similar lines. I can only tell you what occurs on mine which may be slightly different to yours. Depending on how you have set up the function menu on your device we have found that our route marker changes colour as we pass each waypoint. The route line changes from red to black from memory. If the route is disappearing I would suggest it is in your setup in the function menu or it may be a difference between the Vulcan and standard MFDs.
As far as what detail is shown on the display, that is all located in the function menu. We have a sidebar showing heading, speed, depth etc. I don't have my instruction manual with me but I know it was described how to do this very well in the manual.
To be honest I have found the method of placing a route on the system very easy and straight forward compared to Raymarine products which we had before we changed to B and G. There are a few tutorials on youtube which may assist. Just type in Vulcan chart plotter and it should come up.

Hope this is of some assistance.
