best charts for Raymarine plotter

I just bought a boat with a RM C120W plotter. It has the central/southamerica silver charts built in. I intend to use the boat in Florida and Bahamas. Are the platinum chips that much better ? they would really add up to cover all of Florida and Bahamas. The gold chip would cover all of Florida but only the northern Bahamas, does anyone know if they go as far south as Georgetown ?
tnx, Bob

Re: best charts for Raymarine plotter

I have the Navionics 906 Platinum. If you fish you may want the 906P+ which includes the fish n chips. You do get some additional info on the Platinum compared to the gold but not sure its a huge benefit. If I was at the boat I would look and see how far south the chart goes in the Bahamas. Only used it in the Abacos.
