Various posts have mentioned this or that form, sight reduction being reduced to "filling in the blanks", which is fine, since most sailor types simply want to find out about, within a few miles, where they are, I suspect. They aren't really concerned with deriving the basis for spherical trig or celestial navigation. Re sight reduction forms, they are numerous, I have grewn accustomed to the one used by USPS (U.S. Power Squadron) in their Jr. Nav course. Works for me.
