Celestial Navigation Software?

I'm looking for Celestial Navigation software that I can download on my Mac. Any recommendations?

Thank you for your input.

Do a search here on CF and you'd have found a recent thread on this.

Re: Celestial Navigation Software?

I carry "Celestial Navigation", icon blue background, white sextant and star, on my iPhone. This software takes the challenge and the fun out of CN. You feed in your conditions (height, lower arm, etc.) and an assumed position. You feed in your sight and the time. It does ALL the calculations, giving you a map, line, labels, distance, azimuth...

It's for when you really don't want to be bothered, or are just practicing accurate sights.

You can also go to: https://thenauticalalmanac.com and download their Excel-based calculator.

The good thing about this is that you can see the intermediate steps so you can check your manual calculations should you wish to do so.

While you’re at that site, make sure you grab their other free resources - including almanacs.
