Cruising around Puerto Vallarta

I am planning on cruising around Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and would like some suggestions of place to go an thing to see that are a day or two away. Additionally, can anyone provide a source for charts of the area.

Jim, if you like to surf, you go out to Punta de Mita. La Cruz is fun, marina or anchor out, quiet small town with good cheap food. The Tres Marietta's are fun to explore, but not allowed to anchor any more. Can pick up a mooring when not full of the day trippers. Yelapa, far out on the south end of the bay is a great place to go for the day. It's a big bay with lots to do! Enjoy!
