Cruising from BVI To Florida

Headed to the west coast of FL from BVI after this tropical whatever passes and was wondering if anyone had any tips / must see along the way. I hope to do 100nm a day and an thinking about going around key west instead of dealing with all the locks and getting stuck in the ditch for days........Will be on a 46 foot cat !

assuming you are talking power cat. If not the Okeechobee locks are not possible in a 45' sailing cat.

100nm a day? must be power cat?
Let us know what kind of boat you're taking.
If you're planning on 100nm a day you may not have time for stopping for "must sees" but if you do I'd say you absolutely must see Rum Cay in the Bahamas (if you take the route through the Bahamas).

Thank you for the tip ! Will have to check it out of I take the Bahamas route. Thinking maybe Cuba ? Do you know anyone that has been there recently ?

I saw Cuba just last week.. unfortunately it was from an airplane. Hopefully someone else on here will chime in with regards to Cuba. I"ve heard it's beautiful. It's definitely on my list also.
