First time to San Juan from Virginia

Going to leave in November and I have been to St.Thomas ,tortola etc before, but never have I gone into San Juan.
I will make my east as I always do ,but is there anything to watch out for coming into the canal in San Juan other than the sewage pipe on the north side.I know the light house marks the south side, but that is the extent of my knowledge. So if anyone knows certain things on the entry I would appreciate it a bunch.I will be traveling with a young boy his mom and dad.Valiant 40' is the vessel
Thanks....
