Garmin Blue Chart

I have a Garmin 4212 main navigation system and downloaded the free Garmin Blue chart app to my IPad, and also downloaded the chart for $50 odd and assumed that I would be able to download this chart also to my IPhone??
Is that not possible or do I need to buy another chart??? For the IPhone?
Appreciate any clarification.

Yes... just open up garmin bluechart on your iPhone and "restore purchases".

Thanks your reply, I have tried that several times but it comes up"Cannot restore Purchases", cannot connect to iTunes Store ??? Weird?

Just went through that again and it tells me that In-app purchases are not allowed?

Hm... just did it myself. Maybe you need to check to see if you can download anything at all directly from the app store?

read up about family purchases for ipad. Then goto app store/purchased/my purchases and tick the source of apps that you are looking for

Make sure you are running the latest/same version of the app on both devices.

Gentlemen, apologies for late reply but I have spent all day yesterday trying to get this done unfortunately without success, not helped by a weak signal from the marina wifi.
I downloaded the free app again to my phone but same results.When I try to open the Garmin Store BlueChart Maps, it updates the map section and then comes up Restore Purchases and as before " In-app purchases are not allowed " After OK " Cannot Restore Purchases and cannot connect to iTuned Store. After OK it tries to contact the App Store but never gets there!
One strange item which caught my eye was that when I open iCloud on the phone my name is jumbled up instead of WPE it comes up as EWP and also at recent purchases it does not admit I have bought the maps!!
All in all a bit of a mess so I thank you again but will have to talk to Apple or visit one of the stores to get sorted.

contact garmin directly" sometimes this needs to be done with a free new chart. Garmin will give you a code to redeem an app/chart
