Garmin map options

Garmin sent out an announcement about their new Navionics based product. Since I am due for an update to my current charts, I tried to look at it to compare the options and costs. I tried looking at the various upgrade options show in their ActiveCaptain interface where they want you to buy, looked all over their web site and chatted with support … They were less than helpful/ knowledgeable.

Has anyone got a handle on the comparative features and costs? I’m currently using the us and Canada bluechart which was the top/ premium offering.

I spoke with Garmin support yesterday. Don’t purchase until you confirm Navionics + is compatible with your Garmin chartplotter. I learned that mine is not. I would have gone with Navionics + as they do daily updates using LNM, in contrast to only 2 updates a year with bluechart.
