I tried to download the original GE2KAP only version but you seem to also have upgraded this to the new overlay version which,unfortunately does not work for me on Vista. Where can I download your original version?

I have tried both new betas on XP. Both work without fault.

One point to mention when you browse to set a location for the new kap file the open file dialog box opens and will only allow you to select an existing kap file to overwrite . You cannot via browse select a new location and new file.

trying to overlap a KAP file, for me this not work if the KAP is not in WGS84. I am right?

Thanks for the feedback. I think the problem is one of timing. Tore would you say that your computer is very fast, fast, or what?

Andres_RG, when you say it only works on WGS84, what does it do on others? Is it just off a bit and you have to correct it by REDO? YES email me the KAP file and the GE2KAP log.

r.Fairman, I will look into the select problem, thanks. It least the Save As works. Do you think your computer is Fast?

BTW: no idea where those Google Ads came from on my last post.

Well,the error message seems to indicate a path error.

However,I've done a performance test on my Acer laptop processor which seems
to show a pretty averaage speed.

Tested it 7 times no problems
I had one error when adjusting the y value and redoing

as below

ERROR: SYNTAX occurred at line:665

But have not been able to reproduce the error on the next 4 redos

I thinks the browse when setting path and file name for the kap file needs a "save as" process not "open file" as now.

There must be some error with the entry path for the new .kap file.
Having saved the selected area in GE as .jpg in the GE2KAP directory,the program
ask for the desired name of the .kap file NOT YET GENERATED. As it does not yet
exist the program gives the attached error message. Impossible to test.

This time I renamed an existing .kap file in the GE2KAP directory and then did a search selection from the entry line.
Another file entry box appeared but before I could enter the .jpg file name,the program stopped with the attached error message. A new .kap file was not generated to overwrite the 'dummy' .kap file I had prepared.

Darn, OK thanks.

I didn't want to do this but seems there is a problem with sending keys to windows using the oorexx routines so I have wrote my own DLL with some code I found.

Please try the new version, it contains the SendToWindow.dll which you should put in the same directory as GE2KAP as well as the other prereqs.

Oh and I made the select kap a Save type as r.fairman suggested.

Be sure when you enter the name of the chart that it ends with .kap and has no backslash at the end.

Sorry Paul...

Still not working in Vista. Same error message as in my #178 above.
The file entry now shows save the file but the heading of the box is confusing.
