Gordon's Pass, Florida Looking for Depth Updates

Will be cruising south on Fl west coast this month. Want to determine if Gordon's Pass would be accessible to me (5' draft) at MLLW or high tide. If you have been there recently, would appreciate local information.

I know nothing about navigation but has this got anything to do with your query?

Last time I went through there was about two years ago. Didn’t notice any shallow spots. With the number of mega-yachts in Naples, I don’t think you will have any problems.......

Let me add that there is shoaling on the north side of the approach coming in from the Gulf of Mexico. You can usually see the breaking waves.

Re: Gordon's Pass, Florida Looking for Depth Updates

As of January 2019, the Army Corps of Engineers put on hold (indefinitely) a $2.9 million dredging of Gordon Pass, in Naples.
Because Gordon Pass is a federal channel, only the Corps can do the dredging. City staff are drafting letters to state representatives, in the hope of getting funding for the project.
The problem with Gordon Pass, is there are sandbars on either side of it, so wind or waves, from any direction, could cause those sandbars to shift and obstruct the pass.
Gordon Pass was dredged in 2002 and 2010.

Re: Gordon's Pass, Florida Looking for Depth Updates

Gordon pass shows a 5.9 ft contour running parallel to the dredged channel(US charts use MLLW datum. So this depth is w.r.t. MLLW) At high tide water level would rise by 2ft+ (NOAA has a tide station near Naples Bay).
You should also try calling a marina in Naples Bay for navigation details that only locals would know.
