Can you imagination cruisers in Cyprus or Grenada during a military operation - doesn't take much because it's already happened.

And, I would like to be presented with a documented shutdown in the last 10 years (not stories that someone has heard from somebody that have a friend to whom it maybe happened&#128515.

The US Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) is warning aircraft to stay a few hundred miles away from the Naval Air Weapons Station at China Lake, California, because the military is testing a new gizmo that disrupts GPS – and may also mess with flight control systems.

If this is your example I will still take my chances with GPS.
More chances of impossibility of taking sextant readings (clouds, fog, haze, watch break?) than me sailing in the Mojavi desert😃
By the way I understand that the FAA issued a warning but the Navy did not agree to say that the GPS system will be truly disrupted by the tests.
So, I"ll take my chances.

Geez, what's your issue? Were you even aware that the military can and would jam commercial GPS when they felt the need during an operation - that's all I was pointing out. Of course you will take your chances, as I do. The GPS system is a remarkably reliable, available and accurate system. There are few cases where it won't be available.

Yes. I am and was aware of the technical possibility of disrupting the GPS service by an USA agency.
No, I do not believe this is a possibility to consider in our daily life.
No issue except that.
