How fast does the Earth move?

Or at least that's what we think at this present time. One thing I have found when it comes to astronomy and physics is that not only do we often have to change the rules, but we keep moving the goal posts too.

And not only that, we keep finding new goal posts !

Everyone knows the earth is flat and is perfectly still and everything moves around it. I almost fell off the edge the other day but who knew that barstool was so close to the end of everything.
