Hello, Soft Air.... For my 2-bits, I really like the SeaClear II. It's cheap, and after you explore it a bit and experiment, it has lots of features that make it very versatile. You can use it on your laptop with all the other programs on there, and you can also get free charts for US waters from NOAA and very inexpensive charts from East View Cartographic downloaded by email. SeaClear II also has a MapCal utility that is useful for converting TIFF files to WCI format for easy use in SeaClearII.
