MacBook Air opencpn

I have a iPhone that I like and it's ease of use.
I've never owned a mac anything before and was wondering if I bought this MacBook Air dose opencpn work just the same as my windows laptop with the usb GPS puck. No dramas..
I work away so I want a super light lappy but I need it for what I love to do when not working.... Thanks in advance

insalt72...
Yes, it does. The Mac userbase is much smaller, so it receives less testing there and not all the plugins are available. As a word of advice, even if you install today, prefer the 3.3 beta over 3.2.2 stable as it works much better on a modern Mac and generally is just a couple of weeks from being released as OpenCPN 4.0.

Cheers for the info, I hunted around town yesterday and every shop had no stock of the 256gig hhd MacBook Air. Money was burning a hole in my pocket and I couldn't spend it... Story of my life, nothing is easy.

Re: MacBook Air opencpn

I run opencpn on a very very old macbook with a gps puck and it works fine, also on a Imac desktop and it works even better. Let me know how you go with the air, I am about to replace the steam driven Macbook with one.
