Night Vision Binoculars

Hi, fello sailors. I have recently been given a pair of Yellow. ITT night mariner 260 Gen 3 night vision binoculars. I don't know how to use them?? the previous owner does not have the manual and can't remeber how to use them either?? So I'm asking the knowlegable bunch out there?? I've worked out that the top single button turns them on but all I get is a red light inside, is this to say the battery is dead?? there is an oblong middle button for what??? lower down are 2x buttons, one with - the other with + on???? I'm guessing that it's the battery but I don't realy have a clue?? please help if you can. Thanks.....Paulo........NZ

Re: Night Vision Binoculars

Try this site...Night Vision FAQ | DRB Enterprises
Not quite the same model...yours may be superseded.
Anyway you could email them and request a manual...they do not list manuals on the site but they should would be able to point to where to go to download one.

Re: Night Vision Binoculars

1. Change the battery.
2. It may be a RECHARGEABLE Lithium...but do NOT under any circumstances
attempt a recharge unless you know what you are doing here, are experienced in this field and have a dedicated Lithium charger. If you are not convinced of the dangers please go to any model aircraft site and search for Lithium Battery Fires

Re: Night Vision Binoculars

Thanks for your feedback, the first thing I did was to change the battery for a new one. Still no good, must be a deeper problem so they may be relocated to a cupboard for a while?? cheers.
