Non-stop to Halifax from South Carolina, advice please

Two of us planning on taking a 46 foot Beneteau sloop, from South Carolina, up to Halifax, NS. Canada. It needs to be in Halifax by July 1, happy Oh Canada day! We'd like to save time, so thinking of just getting offshore and blasting on up without stopping. Two of us, so we can sail round the clock. Sails are new, including a spinnaker. Would love some advice on what to expect, from those that have done this trip; it's feasibility, it's pitfalls - or it's awesomeness. Okay, CF, I await your replies. Thanks in advance.

Sounds marvelous. About 1100 nm, so 6-8 days. Seems like this is the time of year to do that trip, barring any late season cold fronts (like we've had in the last week actually). Charleston to around Cape Hatteras, offshore enough to grab the edge of the Gulf Stream (or the middle if not too much warm, squally weather). It seems like southwesterlies prevail for at least the first part of the trip. Consider engaging Chris Parker for a couple of weeks (unless you have something else for forecasting/weather routing). We've not gone that far, but around this time of year we've sailed Charleston to Beaufort once, Wrightsville Beach to Annapolis around Cape H one year, Hampton to NYC one year, all pleasant passages with nice weather and good sailing.

Good luck and fair winds.

Bring lots of warm clothes. The ocean doesn't warm up fast. We set out transatlantic in late June and I have never been so cold, sailing. I shivered in an undershirt, shirt, sweater, jacket, lifejacket and weather gear">foul weather gear, watch cap, gloves, socks & boots. We had the cabin heater going at night and didn't get warm until July.
