OpenCPN v2.5.0 Unable to Display AIS Target Query Window

Hi All,
Have been using OpenCPN successfully with AIS for more than a week sailing from Croatia to Turkey with great success.
Have had a couple of issue with crashing on scrolling charts but otherwise it has been very stable.

Most significant issue I have is that the AIS Target Query window has disapeared and re-starting OpenCPN or re-installing with existing config does not fix this. Am reluctant to completely uninstall just now as I don't want to lose tracks and settings

Has anyone else seen this? If so, what is the workaround?

Thanks to all concerned for a great piece of software.

James

Re: OpenCPN V2.5.0 unable to display AIS Target Query Window

James..

I am running OpenCPN under Vista Home version and never had any problems with the AIS functions. I have two separate world-wide AIS feeds.

Which query window are you referring to? I attach my present AIS situation received from external sources.

The AIS query options will of course only be displayed when you have AIS targets displayed on your map.

Re: OpenCPN v2.5.0 Unable to Display AIS Target Query Window

Tore,
We are running Windows 7 Pro. It was the AIS Target query shown in your first screenshot - ie the window showing detailed AIS parameters from a single target. The Tooltip functionality remained throughout the occurrence of the issue. The AIS Target List Window remained functionl thoughout but launching the AIS Target Query failed silently with no error or beep.

Strangely, 12 hrs after posting this query the AIS Target Query functionality mysteriously reappeared and we can now query targets again.

We do have 3 dashboard plugins enabled and I am now wondering if it may have been hiding behind these dashboard items.

this one remains a mystery...
