Raymarine S1 drive gearbox

Hi all,
My S1 wheel pilot drive has mashed the plastic gears in the gearbox. Twice in three years with little use. Is there a upgrade available? Is the x5 better and will it replace the S1 drive without replaceng the smart pilot? Where is the best place to buy replacement parts? $300 where I live for a gearbox. Any assistance or thoughts appreciated. Cheers

If you have the gray Mark 2 wheel, I think that you can get the complete gear case from Raymarine for about $120.00. Part # is A18088 , but you should call & double check to make sure this is what you need.
