RDF worth having aboard?

Found my old Locata RDF, and wondered if anyone was keeping one aboard?

I wouldn't waste the space on one (and I have a big boat!)

They weren't great tools "back in the day" using calibrated beacons. Now, with commercial broadcast radio being the most common target, they aren't worth the power to charge the batteries.
