Roanoke Sound transit

We just transited the Roanoke Sound and wanted to report that we never saw less than 8' in the channel. We had called ahead to the Manteo dockmaster and he reassured us that the charts are out of date and that the channel was dredged.

We went from the Pamlico Sound northbound to Manteo, then further northbound to Elizabeth City.
