Sailing Instruction

Hi all,

We are heading to the BVI (Tortola) on April 14th to buy our new to us Lagoon 400 and move onboard.
We need to find a teaching captain to come onboard for 4-5 days and teach us how to sail, navigate, use the electronics, MOB drills and all about the systems.

We are hoping to find someone qualified right in the Virgin Islands that would like to take an all expense teaching vacation and make a few bucks while doing it.

Please PM. me and we can talk.

Warm Regards,
Steve Palmer

Re: Sailing Instruction

Mark Thompson of Sailing Education in Florida. Mark is an RYA instructor, a good Aussie, and entertaining as well as knowledgeable. He has captained charters all over the world and specializes in teaching clients how to manage cats. I know experienced sailors who have retained him as captain in the Med and Caribbean when they charter just for peace of mind and some good laughs. Flying him to Tortola would not be expensive. If he’s not available I’m sure he can point you to someone local. He knows everyone.
