St. Augustine

Is it reasonable for a boat with a 6'-8" draft to come in the inlet at St. Augustine?

Yes... but the hurricane moved a lot of the shoals and it is in motion to have the inlet recharted. Also, last I heard the buoys are still off station but they should be getting moved back very soon.

Most boats are avoiding the inlet until its charted and the buoys have been replaced. With that said, its gets used by locals often.

Contact the St. Augustine Cruisers Net on facebook for the most up to date information on the inlet. Commercial ventures, marinas, and sea tow all participate on that page.

Got to be a better way than than that 5 person FB group! Are the inlet buoys really not correct currently? I would think that be now they would be. I'm be coming in in the next couple of weeks.
