Sticky (Sy)

What kind of bottom do you usually find when the chart is marked "Sy" (Sticky)? Which anchor do you use?

Commonly, mud with a high proportion of clays. In our case we use our primary anchor-a 45# CQR-but we also have a fairly effective anchor wash-down system.

Thanks. I am looking at a "Sy" spot for tonight. I'll use our CQR.
