Tablet and Pactor

Sorry, maybe I'm wrong here, but I have a question about tablets and pactor modem. Are there solutions to receive weather data and e-mails with the tablet? That would be nice, or I'm on the wrong way?

I like HF Weather Fax, from Black Cat Systems for weather fax downloads. Be sure to use a direct connect cable to mic-in for better image quality. There doesn't appear to be an email solution - I'd be interested too!

tom1263..

Once you have access to one of the land stations via email, you can of course use either a laptop or an Android tablet via USB with the right software.
Have a look:HF Email system overview using pactor 4 HF SSB modem

Or,alternatively satellite phone: http://web.globalmarinenet.com/blog/...r-email-at-sea

Re: Tablet and Pactor

Thanks for your replies. The connection between iPad and Pactor is easy, as you can see at vk4jrc. But to receive E-Mail or Gripfiles, you have to use Sailmail / Airmail, both are only for Windows X.

I think, there is no solution at the moment.

Thanks

Re: Tablet and Pactor

I think all you want should work OK on a Windows 8 tablet. As long as there is a Windows software for what you want.

Entry level Win 8 tablets are Atom/Win 32.
